THESIS COLLECTION "CONFESSION"

"Childhood memories are like puzzles, each piece holding a story, but sometimes, it's the missing piece that speaks the loudest. In reminiscence, I find my father's presence, yet it's the absence of his inner support that echoes the loudest."

When I look back on my childhood memories, I sense something is missing. It feels like working on a puzzle and not finding the last piece to fill the blank. This emptiness relates to how I see my father. He's present in my memories, but there's an absence of the inner support I would expect in a father-daughter relationship.

The collection is about confronting my intricate feelings when I am thinking about my father. In facing our relationship, there's an emotional conflict between hope and disappointment. These complex feelings weave together, recalling my expectations of my father. By embracing the feelings, I reflect those emotions as inspiration. The hope converts into illusion, and the disappointment becomes a reality. The two contrasting elements blend and shape the silhouette, construction, and details of my collection.
